The previous npp “icon” gets blank (NULL) - but keeps the old jumplist but files cannot be accessed as the npp installation directory could be changed. But the problem is that the upgrade do not take care of maintaining the same jumplist and taskbar mapping (which is also a new experience and makes things troublesome, i.e. I would prefer the 64-bit - but for me the jumplist is an important component to preserve and your advise how to recompose it might well work. My npp help->about reports version 7.6.3 32 bit. I upgraded from win7 to win10 (you know the seemless way - which kept my installed apps and data and maybe my last 7.6.3 upgrade dated from win7?).I am surprised if noone else has experienced a similar issue.īefore I proceed, I mention the following (although haven’t experienced any other apps that has had problems with this functionality) At the same time I want to have the latest and greatest version available. And for me the jumplist is a critical part of administering the many text files I use. But I have used npp for yrs and upgraded every minor release and cannot recall to have seen that before - and being security alerted - it makes me worried - so it seems to be somewhat changed. I get the same installation warning as las time (from filehippo) - which can be surpassed. Prior to your reply, I tried to download both the 32-bit and the 圆4 edition of 7.66 from this page. No help or response to the addressed issue - just bullshit. Good to see helpful response on a simple and straight forward problem and not just spam replies with accusations instead of keeping out (is there a way to block and report other “users”?) - even when encouraged to do so - the need is evident from looking at this thread.
